Share it, and send the link anywhere. One link: change your game later, press Update my link, and the same link plays what you changed.

  1. playtest

    Run the exact code·

Plays your game the way Spawn Point will. If it breaks here, it breaks there.
  2. a second look, if you like

    Check it·

Player two reads your game and tells you if it runs, if it can be won and lost, what might confuse a player, and what to fix first. It uses one of your questions.
  3. share it in the lobby

    Share my game·

Every signed-in player can play it in the lobby, and anyone you send the link to. Only your first name goes with it. You get the link, Copy the link, Open the lobby, and a card with a QR code: play it on a phone, Save the picture or Print it and put it on the wall.

Before it can go in the lobby·

Share my game waits until every item on the checklist is met. Each one takes a minute; the studio says which are left, and how to meet each.

the checklist
The checker says it runs.
It has a name of its own. not empty, not untitled or test, not the starter's name
At least 5 lines of code are yours. lines that were not in the starter game
The design says what the game is and what the player does. the Game and You lines on design
No email or phone number in its name or design. the lobby shows those to everyone
I agree: this game is something Spawn administration would be proud to host. tick the box, every time you share or update

After it is shared·

  • The button says Update my link when you have changed the game since, and Link is up to date when you have not. Updating keeps the same link.
  • Copy my game's link, in the game menu, copies it from anywhere in the studio.
  • Send the link, or the QR code, never a file: a file saved with Back up to a file is a backup and does not play.
  • Despawn it takes it off Spawn Point. You can do it any time, from any computer you sign in on.
  • The best games go in the Hall of Fame, on the front of Spawn Point.

What sharing keeps, and who sees it

spawn's server keeps a shared game: its code, art, sounds, design and your first name. Your co-op log goes too only if you tick the box. Anyone with the link can play it and read its code, its design and the names of its earlier copies. Sounds you recorded or uploaded stay silent on the link until the game is in the Hall of Fame. A game that is not in the Hall of Fame is deleted after 180 days.
