library · overview

The library·

Over four thousand pictures to dress your game in: characters, items, hazards, tiles and whole scenes. About three thousand were drawn for spawn; the rest are Kenney's free packs. And a shelf that is only yours.

The library lives in the Art room. Art opens on a card for each thing in your game that can wear a picture: the player, an item, a hazard, a tile, the background. A card with no art yet is a plain square in the game. Click a card to give that thing a picture; art at the top goes back to the cards. Every way in is in the rooms.

Art packs·

A matching cast in one click, under the cards: cave, space, garden and more than sixty others. A pack fills the player, the items and the hazards, picks a background to match, and sometimes the player's moves too. Show all lists every pack.

The background·

The background card is the picture behind everything: Just a color, A picture (One screen, 600 × 600, or a Long scene, 2400 × 600, that scrolls with the camera and loops forever), or A sprite grown to fill the screen. In the code, the plain color is the background(...) line at the top of draw().
