What is shared

Anyone with the link can play it and read its code, its design and the names of its earlier copies, and if it goes in the Hall of Fame, everyone can. Sounds you recorded or uploaded stay silent on the link until the game is in the Hall of Fame. Only your first name is shown with it, so keep your full name out of everything else, and out of any sound you recorded with your own voice.

What is kept

When you ask player two, your message, any picture you add to it, your game's code and what the checker says go to Anthropic, which runs Claude for spawn, so it can answer, and that company's own policy covers its copy. Each question is sent to Anthropic a second time, with the turn before it, so it can be sorted by what kind of question it is. Your questions and its answers are saved with your account, and spawn's admin can read them, word for word. Your games, the sprites in Mine and your co-op log are kept on spawn's server until you delete them, your account is deleted, or it goes unused for the keep setting. Clearing your co-op log takes its rounds out of your view; the server keeps them until your account is deleted, and Spawn administration's report counts them without showing what they say. A game you share is kept on spawn's server: its code, art, sounds, design and your first name, plus your co-op log only if you tick the box. Every signed-in player can play a shared game in the lobby, and anyone you give the link to can play it and read its code; if it goes in the Hall of Fame, everyone can. Sounds you recorded or uploaded are only played for others once the game is in the Hall of Fame. A game that is not in the Hall of Fame is deleted after 180 days, and you can despawn any game yourself at any time. A game you share also remembers your account, so you can despawn it or share it again from any computer you sign in on. If you try a "make it yours" check on your own page, spawn keeps whether you got each part and how long it took, not what you typed. What you write back on that page is kept with your account, spawn's admin reads it with your name, and it is used in the research on how students learn with player two. If you write rules for player two on a game, they are kept with your account until you clear them, delete the game or your account is deleted; they go to Anthropic with every question about that game, spawn's admin can read them with your name, and they are used in the same research. If you light a beacon, your two lines, your game's code, what the checker says, its errors and your asks on that game are kept with your account until it is deleted, and spawn's admin reads them with your name. While you are signed in and working, the game in front of you (its code, art, design and your co-op log on it, never its sounds) and counts of how you work (runs, plays, errors and time in each place) go to Spawn administration's live view under your first name; the server holds them in memory only and drops them when you stop, and you can stop it for a tab with the button beside "live". The server is backed up every night, and a backup keeps a copy of what was deleted for up to 30 days.
